Can you pass a U.S. citizenship test? http://t.co/rNg7BN2NzY
— Jim Lerman (@jimlerman) July 7, 2014
I believe what attracted my attention to this post was the
recent news about flooding immigrants issues confronting America. Anyhow, I was
curious to find out how much I truly know about my own country. I don’t know
how many of these questions would actually appear on a U.S. citizenship test,
but I am happy to say I passed. I wish it had been with a better score though
because I got 42 out of 50 questions correct. :/
This test allowed me to further ponder upon the immigration
issue. Many people desiring to
come to the U.S. and perhaps becoming a citizen one day intrigues me to find
out more about their reasons for coming. It saddens me that there are countries
in the world in which citizens cannot live productive lives and are literally
running away from their homeland. I would never dream of leaving my country and
for that I consider myself truly blessed.
I look forward to following Lerman and reading his thought
provoking tweets @jimlerman.
